DESCRIPTION:Everyone is welcome to join the Sacramento Walking Sticks' walking adventure in Upper Lake\, Columbus Day\, Monday\, October 9th. We'll walk and then those interested can dine at the Blue Wing Saloon.\n\n\n\nStart location: Tallman Hotel\, 9550 Main St\, Upper Lake\n\nRegistration begins: 10:00 a.m. Group walk begins: 10:15 a.m.\n\nRoute description: You'll have a choice of walking a 5K (3.1 miles) town walk\, a 6K (3.7 miles) country walk or an 11K (6.8 miles) combined town and country walk. Upper Lake is a charming\, historic town with a new generation of shopkeepers\, innkeepers and restaurateurs\, all with an eye toward preserving and sharing the rich history of this pioneer town.\n\n	The 5K country route will take you thru town\, up to the cemetery and over to the Ranger Station.\n	The 6K country walk takes you out to the Ranger Station and along a levee road that showcases the magnificent countryside and nearby mountain range.\n	The 11K route combines them both.\n\nEveryone can walk for FREE (donations welcome) or $3.00 for volkswalk credit
