DESCRIPTION:In October the Lake County Library's Know Lake County series moves out of the library and into the Soper-Reese Theatre to present "Traveling Symphony: Shakespeare from Station Eleven" in a free event that melds Know Lake County with the Big Read on October 21 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The theatre is located at 275 S. Main Street in Lakeport. For information about the program call 263-8817. The public is invited to get to know Lake County musicians and actors as they entertain a la the Traveling Symphony from Station Eleven\, the 2017 Big Read book. A violin ensemble from the Lake County Symphony will perform a variety of musical selections. Members from the Shakespeare in the Park troupe from Mendocino College and the Lake County Theatre Company will read from King Lear and perform excerpts from A Midsummer Night's Dream both by William Shakespeare. The Big Read website lists all Big Read events at www.lakecountybigread.com.
