Guided Nature Walks continue at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park. The next scheduled walk is Saturday morning, May 13th. Come join us! Bring binoculars and meet in the parking lot at 8:15am for time to experience the early morning wildlife to be found in the Ranch House and Barn complex yard. The May walk should last between 1½ and 2 hours. The walk will be led by California Naturalist and Park Docent Henry Bornstein. After the rains we have experienced, the Park is green and shining in the sun. The trees are leafing out, flowers are blooming, and birds, dragonflies and other insects are becoming active. According to Henry, “where we go on the walk will depend on the level of the water in the Lake, which has been high enough to keep portions of the Cache Creek Trail flooded.” There will be NO tour of the historic Ranch House after the walk. There is no charge and parking is free for those attending this event. For more information about the nature walk, email info@andersonmarsh.org or call (707) 995-2658.
