Anderson Marsh State Historic Park continues to hold monthly guided nature walks. The next walk is scheduled for Saturday morning, August 13th at 8:30 am. Come join us! Led by Certified California Naturalist and Park Docent Billy Gear, this walk will cover the Cache Creek Nature Trail. Along with a general history and description of the Park, come and view the birds, dragonflies, butterflies and other wildlife and wildflowers that can be found in the Park this time of year. Bring binoculars, sturdy shoes, water and sun protection. Meet in front of the Ranch House at 8:15 am for time to experience the early morning wildlife to be found in the Ranch House and Barn complex yard. The leisurely walk should take 1½ - 2 hrs. There is no charge and parking is free for those attending this event. There will NOT be a guided tour of the Ranch House after the August walk. Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is located on Hwy 53, between Lower Lake and Clearlake. For more information about the nature walk and Ranch House tour, email info@andersonmarsh.org or call (707) 995-2658.
