The first guided walk of summer is scheduled for Saturday morning, July 14th at 8:30am. Come join us! Bring binoculars, sturdy shoes, water and sun protection. Gather in the parking lot in front of the picnic area at 8:15am for time to experience the early morning wildlife to be found in the Ranch House and Barn complex yard. Led by Park Docent Lisa Wilson & California Naturalist and Park Docent Nicola Selph, this walk will follow the Cache Creek Nature Trail to and from Cache Creek. Along with a general history and description of the Park, come and view the birds, dragonflies, butterflies and other wildlife and wildflowers that can be found in the Park this time of year. The walk should take between 1½ and 2 hours. A tour of the historic Anderson Ranch House will follow the walk. There is no charge and parking is free for those attending. Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is located on Hwy 53, between Lower Lake and Clearlake.
