Jonah Raskin presents the keynote address for the NEA Big Read in Lake County: a look back at the life and work of Jack London, who wrote 50 books and died 100 years ago on November 22, 1916.
Raskin is the editor of "The Radical Jack London: Writings on War and Revolution," and the author of "The Mysteries of Jack London" and "Burning Down the House: Jack London and the Wolf House Fire of 1913." A professor emeritus at Sonoma State University, Raskin has a Ph.D. from the University of Manchester in England, and is the author of 14 books, including his most recent, "A Terrible Beauty: The Wilderness of American Literature." Program is presented in collaboration with the Lake County Friends of Mendocino College and the Friends of the Mendocino College Library.
