Lake County Fire Stories: a Documentary

For the past 10 months the Museums of Lake County, with funding from the Lake Area Rotary Club Association and the Lower Lake Historic School Preservation Committee, have been filming a documentary on the recent devastating fires in Lake County. With the videography and editing work of One Eleven Productions, this 25 minute documentary records the individual experiences of those who fought and survived the Rocky, Jerusalem, Valley and Clayton Fires. As historically significant events, the Museums recognized the need to preserve the stories of these fires for future generations to learn and appreciate. As occurrences that have left Lake County forever changed, and have affected our neighbors, our loved ones and ourselves, the Museums hoped to capture for posterity the extraordinary perseverance of our communities. Please join us on Saturday, February 25 at 2:00 P.M. in the Weaver Auditorium of the Lower Lake Schoolhouse Museum for the first ever public viewing of the documentary Lake County Fire Stories. The documentary will be preceded by a brief introduction to the project by Curator of Museums, Tony Pierucci, and a discussion of how the documentary was created by Director and owner of One Eleven Productions, Bill Groody. Light refreshments will also be served. This event is FREE and open to the public and is wheel-chair accessible. Seating is limited, so please plan on being at the museum shortly before or right at 2:00 P.M. The Lower Lake Schoolhouse Museum is located at 16435 Main St. Lower Lake, California.
