The 1960 romantic comedy, “Never On Sunday” starring Melina Mercouri and Jules Dassin, screens at the Soper Reese Theatre on Tuesday, February 27, at 1:00 and 6:00 pm. Entry to the film is by donation. A light-hearted look at life in 1960's Greece featuring Melina Mercouri's Oscar-nominated performance as the prostitute with a heart of gold. Also stars Jules Dassin who wrote the script and directed. Scenes of the Parthenon and the fourth century BC Epidaurus theatre set the mood, along with the film's famous bouzouki music which won an Oscar for Best Original Music. The movie is sponsored by Karen Weston, Vivian Wilson and Jean Mead. Not rated. Run time is 1 hours and 31 minutes. The Soper Reese Theatre is located at 275 S.
