Description
Please join us on October 5 at 5:30 p.m. at Xabatin Park in Lakeport as we celebrate the installation of a Wind Phone with a Chamber ribbon cutting.
This special project is the work of Janice Hornby, who wanted to create a comforting space for people in our community who are grieving. A Wind Phone is a disconnected telephone placed in a quiet setting where you can speak to someone you’ve lost. The idea is that the wind carries your message to them.
After the ribbon cutting, everyone is welcome to join a grief walk around the block and take part in a community mosaic project. We hope you’ll join us for this meaningful evening
