Save the date for this presentation in honor of the exhibit that includes an historic painting and artifacts of Pomo cultural life, now featured at the de Young Museum in San Francisco through April 17th. On February 12th at 1 pm, Archaeologist John Parker and Elem Cultural Leader Robert Geary will team up to discuss the 1876 Tavernier painting of a Pomo ceremony at Elem.
A life-size replica of the painting will be on display during the presentation. Whether or not you plan to visit the de Young, don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn about French painter Tavernier’s best work of art.
