Columbus Day Walk through Upper Lake

Everyone is welcome to join the Sacramento Walking Sticks' walking adventure in Upper Lake, Columbus Day, Monday, October 9th. We'll walk and then those interested can dine at the Blue Wing Saloon.

Start location: Tallman Hotel, 9550 Main St, Upper Lake
Registration begins: 10:00 a.m. Group walk begins: 10:15 a.m.
Route description: You’ll have a choice of walking a 5K (3.1 miles) town walk, a 6K (3.7 miles) country walk or an 11K (6.8 miles) combined town and country walk. Upper Lake is a charming, historic town with a new generation of shopkeepers, innkeepers and restaurateurs, all with an eye toward preserving and sharing the rich history of this pioneer town.

• The 5K country route will take you thru town, up to the cemetery and over to the Ranger Station.
• The 6K country walk takes you out to the Ranger Station and along a levee road that showcases the magnificent countryside and nearby mountain range.
• The 11K route combines them both.
