Description
Look, learn, and create together during fun, interactive programs for kids of all ages and their parents/caregivers. The Museums of Lake County will be hosting free activities for families during the summer on the second Friday of June, July and August at the Courthouse Museum site in Lakeport. These programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Lake County Museum to benefit our local community. The Friends of the Lake County Museum helps pay for busing for school tours for students, and additional programming at the Courthouse Museum. Join us July 12th from 10:30-12:30 for drop-in participation for a Pomo culture day aimed at all ages. July’s activities include creating your own Pomo dice, and learning how to play the game. Members of the Tribal Advisory Committee will be on hand to tell stories, talk about Pomo culture, and a special tour of the basket room will be offered at noon for guests. The museum will also be open at this time for all visitors, with staff available to answer any questions you have about Lake County history.
