Description
From April 22 through May 1, the Soper Reese Theatre’s Accidental Theatre Company presents a new musical which pays tribute to one of Elton John’s greatest albums, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. The original work weaves all of the songs into in a story that follows one couple’s relationship and features a few colorful characters along the way.
The show, named for the album of the same name, features many of the performers from 2015’s highly acclaimed “Jesus Christ Superstar” production, along some bright new faces. Nick Reid returns as musical director and Tom Aiken as band director. Also returning are the leads from “Jesus Christ Superstar,” Charise Reynolds, Katy Tipton and Mel O’Meara. The play is written by Katy Tipton.
Performances take place on Friday, April 22 at 7:00 pm; Saturday, April 23 at 7:00 pm; Sunday, April 24 at 2:00pm; Friday, April 29 at 7:00 pm; Saturday, April 30 at 7:00 pm; and the last show on Sunday, May 1 at 2:00 pm. All seats reserved. Tickets on sale now at $20, $18 and $15.
