Description
Anderson Marsh State Historic Park continues to hold monthly guided nature walks. The next walk is scheduled for Saturday morning, April 8th at 8:30am. Come join us! Bring binoculars, sturdy shoes, water and sun protection. Meet in the parking lot next to picnic area at 8:15am for time to experience the early morning wildlife to be found in the Ranch House and Barn complex yard. State Parks Docent Henry Bornstein will lead the nature walk. After the rains, the Park has not looked this green and lush in years, and the birds and bees are becoming active. Many of the trees are beginning to leaf and flower, and wildflowers are beginning to bloom. It should be a beautiful day in the Park. The April 8th walk will explore the Ridge, Marsh and Anderson Flats trails. It should take about 2 hours. There will be NO tour of the historic Ranch House afterwards. There is no charge and parking is free for those attending this event. Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is located on Hwy 53, between Lower Lake and Clearlake. For more information about the nature walk, email info@andersonmarsh.org or call (707) 995-2658.
