Description
The 1958 romantic comedy, “Houseboat,” starring Cary Grant and Sophia Loren, screens at the Soper Reese Theatre on Tuesday, June 27, at 1:00 and 6:00 pm. Entry to the film is by donation. Grant plays a widowed father who packs himself and his three spoiled children off to a ramshackle houseboat. Loren’s character hires on as Grant’s housekeeper and the two soon fall in love. It’s a warm, charming and innocent portrayal, and the film exhibits exceptional perception and sensitivity to the feelings of the children. Great viewing for the whole family.
