There have been people living in the area of Clear Lake for over 10,000 years. Over these millennia there have been many tales passed down by song, dance, oral history, and written word. Our presentations in “The Lore of the Lake: The Walking History Tour” are a small sample of some of these. Here we will give you tantalizing glimpses into our past. These are all tales based on real people and real events. The words in some cases are the actual ones used by those who told the story. In others, we are imagining how things were said, but still in the framework of actual events. There are surprises and obscure events that will be revealed, and we hope you will enjoy them all.
