Description
The Museums of Lake County is happy to present their newest exhibit, “The Way We Played: Sports and Recreation in Lake County” opening April 6th for the general public with an opening reception the evening of April 5th. The reception will preview the exhibit, from 5pm-7pm Friday and tickets are $10 with a free beverage ticket. Hosted by the Friends of the Lake County Museum reception admission is free for current members of the Friends of the Lake County Museum. Light refreshments will be served. The exhibit will cover Lake County’s long history as a sports and recreational destination for visitors and locals alike. Highlights include indigenous stick dice games, the California cricket craze, and water sports on the lake. Visitors will have a chance to play the stick dice game, and view vintage footage of some of the amazing water sports on the Lake. This is a family-friendly exhibit aimed at all audiences. The Courthouse Museum is open Wednesday from Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday from 12pm-4pm with a suggested $4 donation for adults, $3 students and seniors and $2 for children.
