Sponsored by Nancy and Grant Jordan Where the Crawdads Sing tells the story of Kya, a girl who was left alone and grew up by herself in the dangerous marshlands of North Carolina. For years, rumors about the “Marsh Girl” scared the people of Barkley Cove, keeping the smart and strong Kya apart from her community. When she becomes close to two young men from town, Kya steps into a new and surprising world; but when one of them is found dead, the community quickly blames her as the main suspect. As the case goes on, it becomes harder to know what really happened, threatening to uncover many secrets hidden in the marsh.
