Often referred to as the “Father of Wine Country Cuisine,” Chef John Ash will be the special guest chef at the Tallman Hotel on Saturday evening, October 15. Begin with a reception and book-signing in the Tallman Meeting House followed by dinner in the Tallman Dining Room. Chef Ash has selected a menu showcasing recipes from his new newest cookbook, “Cooking Wild” (Running Press, $35), a collection of over 150 seasonal recipes made from uncultivated foods. According to Chef Ash, to eat wild you needn’t crawl through the forest or hunt your own game. Ash takes a broader view of “wild” by including recipes and information on both foraged and uncultivated foods as well as wild foods more conveniently found at supermarkets. $100 per person plus tax.
